I hope they can add different kind of mount to the game rather than new weapon.

first of all i am greek and i know the sotry of this weapon in greek it is called ygron pyr(liquid fire).I am sorry i will ruin your idea but this weapon coudlnt be carried by only one person it was carried by 4 or 5 soldiers and a sixth to reload it.Also thios weapon would imbalance the game cause it would be very powerfull. You may see this in WoW BUT DEFINATELY NOT IN GW
P.S:I am not talking about the barrel that is shown in the picture i am talking about the byzantine weapon that was similar with the flamethrower that we have nowdays

What exactly does this have to do with magic, as the OP stated? This is clearly science and does not fit into the world of GuildWars. Also, this belongs in the Suggestions forum, not Lore.

Sure. I imagine a caster type, usually wearing a long coat, festooned with tons of vials and similar. For combat purpose, lobbing various vials of chemicals around would be used, think like a grenadier. In game mechanics, this would mean new preparations, having a long casting time and enhancing the regular attacks, representing the concoctions, and weapon spells, representing specially designed delivery vials. Various stuff could be used, from irritants (think choking gas) to AoE damage (Might as well go for the greek fire here) to whereever fancy takes us.
Equipment would be a large, thick leather coat, (maybe a mask, but should be careful to avoid going stampunk) based armor (to protect from the alchemist from his own devices). Weapons would be crafting vials with various damage types with exotic combinations of ingreedients, all for throwing (No, no flame throwers, wouldn't fit GW imagery).
Attributes, well, I imagined making the preparations be "your next X hits" type, without a time limit. Then, I would make the primary attribute a sort of preparation only fast casting and expertise combination. Next, one attribute for throwing, one for utilities and one for restoration.
For skills, well, I'll try to show a "theoretical" skill bar:
Fragile vial (weapon spell) (for 5...12 seconds, your attacks cause bleeding for 3...6 seconds)
Blazing concoction (preparation, next 1...5 attacks inflict burning for 1-3 seconds)
Ethereal cauldron (5 second cast, when your next preparation ends, Golden cauldron ends and the preparation is reapplied. Ethereal cauldron ends if you move)
Undead ichor (preparation, next 1...5 sttacks inflict disease for 3...6 seconds)
Panacea universalis (touch, removes all conditions)
Distillation of cursed blood (E)(preparation, lose all hexes. your next 1 attack applies the hexes removed to the target with the remaining duration, using its original duration)
See where I'm going? The class makes a preparation (one at a time, remmember) for the next few attacks, and combines it with a weapon spell. Specifically, I like the idea that it reuses (perhaps revives) the existing mechanics, reviving them without creating newer and newer mechanics.

I would also like to point out that similar mechanisms have already been observed in game. Remember the flamethrowers from the Consulate docks.
